Health-on-Line raises over £2,000 for charity

Friday, August 07, 2015

Rolling pins and pedals to the ready as health insurance firm, Health-on-Line manages to raise over £2,000 for Dorset-based charity Mosaic.

It’s not every day a company encourages staff to get on their bike or whip up car-themed baked goods for charity but at Health-on-Line they like to do things differently…

In March, Health-on-Line employees took to exercise bikes with the challenge of cycling the equivalent combined distance of Bournemouth to Glasgow in just one day. Employees across all three floors of its Bournemouth office took it in turns to cycle 15 minutes on each exercise bike, kindly provided by Fitness First, as race to see which floor could go the furthest.

The event itself was a great success with Health-on-Line employees managing to raise an impressive £500 in just one day!

To mark the weekend of Bournemouth’s Wheels Festival, Health-on-Line organised a bake sale, dress down and raffle on the Friday. The day was a massive success with employees from across various departments selling their scrumptious baked goods and snapping up raffles tickets for an array of attractive prizes to raise some serious dough for charity. The event was such a success it managed to increase the total raised to over £2,000!

Fiona Carter, a member of the Health-on-Line Charity Panel explains:

“We have all thoroughly enjoyed organising and participating in these charity events for Mosaic. It has been an absolute privilege being able to support the Charity’s efforts in providing support not only to young children but also their families during a very difficult time. Each event has helped to raise Company spirit within our offices and it is certainly a charity that will remain close to our hearts here at Health-on-Line.”

Dorset-based charity Mosaic provides support to bereaved children, young people and their families. Customer Reviews

  • “Excellent customer service. The Heath plan was catered to my needs and requirements. I'm very impressed with the low price. Had I known how affordable health insurance was before I'd have taken it out years ago.”
