Bournemouth business community unites to support struggling families

Bournemouth based restaurant chain – Chicken Shack is working in partnership with the Boscombe, Pokesdown and Southbourne Children’s Centres to provide Christmas hampers to fifty under-privileged families.

The hampers contain festive treats such as Christmas crackers, small toys and selection boxes and are due to be collected on Christmas Eve, with a voucher that has been distributed to fifty families in need.

Health-on-Line have been asked to contribute to the collection and were pleased to supply fifty Christmas puddings to this wonderful cause.

Working alongside the local business community, Chicken Shack coordinated collection of the donations to provide local families with a little festive cheer. Fiona Carter, Brand & Marketing Manager – Health-on-Line said:

“Health-on-Line strongly believe in supporting their local community, and this is a wonderful cause. We were really happy to be asked to help and delighted to be able to contribute to these deserving families”.

Health-on-Line also support their charity of the year – Julia’s House Children’s Hospice and have raised over £6000 in 2014, with a Christmas Jumper competition, completing the Dorset Plane Pull and other fundraising events.
