Employee benefits

As a health insurance company, we believe health and wellbeing takes priority. When joining Health-on-Line, staff are instantly given many company benefits, such as access to support and information from financial to emotional matters. Find out what is on offer:

Rewards and recognition

  • We recognise and reward our staff for their hard work through our incentive and spot reward schemes for both admin and sales departments.
  • We also recognise and reward people who embody our core values. Every quarter we award a bronze, silver and gold prize (maximum £500 reward) to three people in our Champions of Health-on-Line scheme.

Support and information

  • The ‘Be Supported’ portal is there for all our staff to access and offers support with legal or financial concerns, telephone and face-to-face counselling, as well as lifestyle guidance. The portal is regularly updated with the latest information and support. Anyone in the company, and their dependants can access this service to discuss any practical or emotional concerns they have and call in confidence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  • The ‘Doctor Care Anywhere’ app allows staff to have private GP appointments at any time of the day via their phone, making it easy and accessible and cutting down the GP waiting times.

Holiday

  • Staff are entitled to additional days off for special events such as buying a property, celebrating their wedding day and their birthday. There is also the option given to buy more holiday days for the next year.

Pension and shares

  • Our pension scheme is open to all employees when they join Health-on-Line, giving them the opportunity to save for their retirement and receive company contributions
  • We also offer our employees the opportunity to invest in the AXA Group by purchasing shares; with a loan offered to fund the purchase of them. This scheme can offer great returns linked to the overall performance of the company.

Schemes

  • We also have a Refer-a-Friend Scheme open to all employees. Our RAF scheme is extremely popular and allows existing employees to earn up to £1000 for referring a friend to join us.
  • Once an employee has passed their probation period they can enrol into the Cycle to Work scheme, giving them the opportunity to purchase a discounted bike to commute to work.
  • Post probation all employees are then offered private medical insurance and the option to add their partner and children to the scheme.

Local discounts

As one of the larger employers in the area, we love to support the local area and that’s why we’ve partnered with a number of different businesses to offer our employees the best deals possible.

Staff can enjoy discounts within the local area including More Bus, Noodle Bar, Green House Hotel, Mint Barbers, National Trust, Hilton Spa & Health Club and many restaurants such as Turtle Bay and Ojo Rojo.

Employees are also eligible for great discounts on a number of AXA insurance products. They are able to sign up to the company’s online discount portal, AXA Max, which offers savings and cashback at over 800 high street retailers including the likes of Odeon, M&S, John Lewis and ASOS.

Learning and development

We want all our staff to have the opportunity to learn and develop within their career at Health-on-Line.

Recently we have established a learning and development programme with the mission to ‘Empower our people to reach their full potential together, by understanding how they want to learn and creating opportunities at their fingertips, so that our people are happy and fulfilled at work.’

We have regular staff surveys to find out what our staff would like to help further their career which then feeds into our programme.

Health and wellbeing

Health and wellbeing is at our core and we understand this it vitally important to our staff. Our HOListic Wellbeing programme is built around the 5 Ways of Wellbeing model which was introduced to the company through our partnership with Dorset Mind.

This programme involves events and initiatives that are available all throughout the year which fit into categories of either: Connect, Active, Mindful, Learn or Give; with the overall aim of improving personal wellbeing. The work we have done with this programme was recognised as a winner in the Health & Wellbeing category at the Dorset Business Awards in 2019.
