Automation Test Analyst Description

Here at Health-on-Line we’re looking for a Test Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team. Our IT team consists of nearly 60 talented individuals who support, manage, develop and test our bespoke IT systems which are all built in-house – something we are very proud of!

Our culture is a big part of who we are and we’re looking for someone who shares our core values: integrity, passion, customer focus, team spirit and innovation.

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for testing key software applications to meet business requirements, as well as writing and executing test scripts for software and systems to detect faults and keep a record of any defects and bugs that are discovered. As part of the development team you’ll discuss any problems that occur and track the success of solutions put in place. We rely heavily on verbal communication and working side by side with the developers so strong communication skills are key.

The team typically work a 35 hour week Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

What skills do I need to have?

You will have previous experience working as a Test Analyst within the financial services industry. It is paramount to also have experience working in the end to end software development life cycle, with a specific focus on automated testing processes as part of an agile team.

A strong background in test automation including UI and integration testing using APIs and web services is essential, along with sound working knowledge of software development approaches such as TDD and BDD.

You must have experience in building and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, SpecFlow, Selenium Webdriver and SoapUI.

Whilst not essential it would be great if you had experience testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments such as Azure, as well as an understanding of coding enterprise applications such as C# and Python.

Security testing would be an advantage – both actively testing the security of enterprise applications prior to release, and during ongoing maintenance. It would also be beneficial if you are ISTQB, CSQA or CSTE qualified, or qualified to degree level in a technical related subject.
